IMAGEN DIALÉCTICA EN EL TEATRO HISTÓRICO DE JUAN MAYORGA¹

Resumen: El artículo analiza algunos planteamientos filosóficos en el teatro histórico de Mayorga, haciendo hincapié en los textos dramáticos vinculados al pensamiento benjaminiano y los conceptos metanarrativos provenientes de la filosofía histórica de la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Se estudian los dramas estructurados dentro de la teoría de elipse y la imagen dialéctica formuladas por el autor y sus ideas acerca de la intrahistoria, la intertextualidad y la metateatralidad que cuestionan el discurso oficial de las narraciones y las escenificaciones históricas.

DIALECTICAL IMAGE IN THE HISTORICAL THEATRE OF JUAN MAYORGA

Abstract: The article discusses some philosophical approaches in Mayorga’s historical theater and his dramatic texts related to Benjamin's philosophy and metanarrative historical concepts of the second half of the twentieth century. We analyze dramas within the framework of author’s ellipse and dialectical image theory and his ideas about memory, intertextuality and metatheatrical configurations, which question the official discourse regarding historical narration models and its performativity.
